With his Finance background, he was controller and Finance/IT director for Xerox in several European countries. In that role, he had to manage major changes in business and IT implementations. Almost 15 years ago he started with partners his own company for Finance/IT consulting and outsourcing of accounting services. Companies like Canon and Koopman Logistics Group are in the customer portfolio. Since 3 years he cooperated with Datamatics in developing Big Data.
Mirko Presser holds and Associate Professorship in Business Model Innovation and Internet of Things at Aarhus University, AU Herning. Previously he was the Head of Research and Innovation for the Smart City Lab at the Alexandra Institute working on Open Data and the Internet of Things in the context of Smart Cities for Citizens. He is also the president and now vice president of the IoT Forum since it was founded in June 2013. He has been studying and working on IoT and Smart City research since 2002, he has published scientific peer-reviewed papers on the topics and has served on numerous scientific committees and steering boards. He has a Masters degree in Physics with Astrophysics and a Masters degree in Telecommunications and Systems Engineering both from the University of Bristol and received his PhD on the Mobile IoT from the University of Surrey. He has also been strongly involved in the European FP6, FP7 and now H2020 ICT programmes and has been the Technical Manager of the FP6 IST e- SENSE and FP7 ICT SENSEI projects, both addressing the Internet of Things, amongst many other projects as well as he was the coordinator of the FP7 EeB PPP project called URB-Grade. He is also currently the coordinator of the Next Generation Internet pathfinding project H2020 NGI move.

Johnny has headed several businesses in Apparel, Brands and Retail. He was the Apparel Director at Reebok India having joined them as a founding team member and moved on to be Apparel Director for Reebok Asia Pacific based out of Hong Kong where he managed the Apparel Business for the Region though the Subsidiaries and Licensees. After nearly 14 years in Reebok he retuned to India as President of a Licensed Brands Company- LMG Brands India -part of the 5 billion dollar Landmark Group, He looked after the business of a portfolio of brands such as Bossini, Kappa, Springfield, Josef Siebel, VNC and the groups young fashion format Splash. Johnny then founded a new menswear Brand World Player for the S Kumar’s group. He established the concept and business from scratch as a value brand aimed at small town India and grew it from a one man operation to 54 team members with 1500 points of Sale (mainly MBO) in 668 towns/ 293 districts over India. Johnny then headed the Mahindra Retail Business- Mom and Me, a maternity, infants and kids format looking after its Retail Operations, Product and Merchandising and Marketing and growing the retail footprint from 65 to 105 Stores across India. Johnny started his career as a Management Trainee at Madura Coats in 1986 and held management positions there in the Export business and then with Stencil Apparel Brands, Liz Claiborne India and as a Partner in and Eco friendly certified apparel business- Ecotex by Primetex for the first 10 years of his career. Johnny has an Economics degree from MCC – Madras and a PG degree in International Trade from IIFT- Delhi He is now shifted his focus to web and digital enabled businesses over the past two years. Having worked as a business advisor to interesting start ups like Wooqer which has an enterprise wide communication and workflow platform, to Ice Cream Labs which has an innovative in-image display advertising technology to RK Group which developed private labels for Amazon India. He is a Founder and Partner in a food e- commerce start up-Fresh Connection. He organised the Ace Turtle Omnichannel India Conclave for Ace Turtle in Jan, 16, which was very well received by the many Retail and Brand CEO’s who attended
